Both the new Jet album (Shine On) and the new Pete Yorn album (nightcrawler) make me poo my little bum. They are so good. Mr Yorns album has a track feat. Dave Grohl on the drums and a couple of the dixie chicks doing bv's.

Luckily I am having a good... no, amazing hair day.

I have a friend who often challenges me a lot, and this past week and a bit she gave me a dvd. Me being the biggest advocate of meat ever thought I would be uneffected.

Its a documentary called 'earthlings', narrated by Joaquin Phoenix, it basically challenges the way in which we treat animals in this world, from pets, to slaughter houses, to cirucus animals, to fish. everything is inlcuded.

Although I haven't turned vegetarian I can honestly say I will avoid buying leather again at all costs, and would never touch a fur product in my life. i would tell anyone who is buying a young pet that its theirs for life, and not something that you can just give back, and if I were in the states would consider being completely vegan.

I urge you to challenge yourself and watch it. if not simply to inform yourself.

I just got one of these. not only a piece of computing history but a fine talking piece. With full black and white graphics, 3.5" floppy disk drive and internal speaker. its a lean mean computing machine.

I am fucked off today. We're almost certain the rockstar supernova tv show has started taking action against us. Our myspace was deleted today with one of the possible reasons being 'trademark or copyright violation'. there used to be about 4 other supernovas on myspace, and now there are none. As you can imagine this is no fun for us, getting the 'brand' we've put so much in to for the last year and a half instantly destroyed, so its new name time.

in the mean while I'll be bitter.

On Saturday night I went to the last ever gig of seven suns, better known as stylus77.

It was amazing, and it's always a shame to see such a band break up like that. One could speculate forever as to why they didn't quite ever take off nationally, but the bottom line is that they were a tight band with a unique sound, which seemed to boom much larger than what you'd expect from a 3 piece.

The set was full of energy with all three musicians looking like they were having plenty of fun, but the climax was indeed the last song (without you), where once the last note was played, that was the last note ever to be heard from stylus77. They jammed around chords for what must have been over 8 minutes, building so much intensity, looking at each other with hints, yet never quite wanting to stop. Finally the set came to a close, and everyone in indigo that night would unanimously agree that Wellington is loosing one of its finest top acts.

If you are in to their stuff, or did want to hear it, they openly told everyone that night to feel free to burn the disk. Adi Dick stated "fuck that record company, we don't get shit from that album."

uni is CHAFING me at the moment. 3 assignments due in 3 consecutive days, 2x 40% and 1x 60%. Just normal really!
but, after that I get to do lots of fun things.

On saturday night Supernova are playing a gig - rowan. So we're playing an acoustic-ish gig at the massey ball. The name ball makes it sound too flash. I'm sure it'll really be a big dress up party but it should be a fun gig.

On sunday allan, hamish and nick all head up to great merury island. You can see where we're staying here and here. Notice the usual price tag of $20k a night at this bad ass island... but I think we might just pay nothing, drink their wine, swim in their pool, drive their farm bikes, play with their boats, and smoke nargila because it'll be fun.
